Unique Movers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the joy of dance and movement for children and young adults of all ages and abilities. Guided by the principle of positive reinforcement, our mission is to create an inclusive and nurturing environment where individuals with developmental, physical, or behavioral challenges can embrace the transformative power of movement.

Though Unique Movers officially began its journey in June 2018, the seed for this project was planted long before. My mother and I were inspired by my Uncle Robbie, whose love for dance and music has always been a beacon of light in our lives.

For me, music and dance have always been my greatest loves, offering a universal language that transcends barriers and unites us all. Their therapeutic qualities bring healing, connection, and pure joy, no matter one’s age or ability.

My mother has devoted her life to special education, earning her Master of Science in Education and specializing in learning disabilities. Today, she works in community habilitation, sharing her days with Robbie and nurturing his skills in reading, writing, and daily life.

Now, Unique Movers brings inclusive dance events and workshops to various communities. Our vision knows no bounds. We hope to continue building a community where the creative expression of dancing overcomes all obstacles and brings smiles to every face.
